Unprecedented FEI Wins at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals by Father and Daughter
Wednesday, October 1, 2014
The 12th annual Arabian Horse Association Sport Horse National Show was held September 24-27th in Nampa, Idaho. 15-year-old Quarab KB Jull Fahim+// daughter of KB Omega Fahim++++// captured a historical moment by matching her sire’s record of winning all 4 FEI dressage tests during the reign of these shows. This is the first time a father and daughter have BOTH won all the Open FEI dressage competitions individually at this national championship show. It was a breathtaking moment when Jull completed her final halt at Grand Prix which translated into her final and ultimate achievement as a historical champion. Jull, under her exceptional trainer and rider, Chelsey Sibley, completed this monumental task with grace and ease. It should be noted that this horse duo and trainer also made history together at this show in 2010 by sweeping all four Open FEI tests. Each horse won two of the four tests which cinched the entire open FEI division.
More than 350 horses displayed their athletic abilities at the Ford Idaho Horse Center. Sport Horse Nationals is the only single-breed event in the nation offered just for Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses registered with the Arabian Horse Association and the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry.
The breeder of Omega and Jull, Elaine Kerrigan, has devoted the past 40 years creating these amazing Arabian sport horse athletes. According to Chris Bailey, “Kerrigan Bloodstock produces horses that pave the way to success in the show ring”. Arabian stallion KB Omega Fahim++++// is owned by breeder Elaine Kerrigan of Kerrigan Bloodstock in Eureka, CA and Half-Arabian KB Jull Fahim+// is owned by Chris Bailey, also of Eureka. Both horses have been trained and shown by the talented Chelsey Sibley of Sky Ranch, in Sonora, CA.
