To celebrate their connection with the 2018 Winter Circuit, Triple Crown hosted its annual Season Kick-off Party featuring the Who’s Who of dressage, jumping, polo, and more on Tuesday, January 9. The event, held the night before the show season officially began, took place from 7 - 10 p.m. at The Wellington Club on the Palm Beach International show grounds. Provided for the groves of eager attendees were complimentary hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, fun music, and prizes throughout the night. The party drew many notable equestrians, including Kasey Perry-Glass, Allison Brock, Endel Ots, Chester Weber, Charlotte Bredahl, and Bent Jensen, as well as news reporter Roxanne Stein from FOX 29.

Dedicated to showcasing top-tier riders and their hard-working equine partners, Triple Crown will award the coveted Triple Crown Excellence Award and the Triple Crown Dressage Excellence Award to deserving duos throughout the 2018 Winter Circuit, which runs until the end of March 2018. The Winter Equestrian Festival offers 12 action-packed weeks of hunter/jumper and international show jumping competition, while the Adequan Global Dressage Festival features the highest level of dressage competition in North America.

The first Triple Crown Excellence Award was presented during week one of the Winner Equestrian Festival to Jimmy Torano, owner of JET Show Stable, who demonstrated exceptional horsemanship aboard the handsome grey Westfalian gelding Last Dance by Last Man Standing. Torano and Last Dance, owned by Elizabeth Frankel, showed outstanding fitness, superior athleticism, and perfect performance by sweeping the Green Hunter 3’ division with three blues and one second place ribbon, and the overall division championship. Torano received a commemorative ribbon, an engraved tray, and complimentary feed certificates.

As a second-year sponsor of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, Triple Crown rolled out as the class sponsor of the Small Tour CDI3*.   Recognizing Heather Blitz and her nine-year-old Danish Warmblood Praestemarkens Quatero (Quaterback x Rhodiamant). Blitz and the dynamic chestnut scored a 71.961% to take the win in the Prix St. Georges CDI3*, and posted a whopping 75.000% for the blue ribbon win in the FEI Intermediate I Freestyle CDI3*. Diane Creech of Leatherdale Farms was also an award recipient, and enjoyed success aboard the 14-year-old Oldenburg Robbie W (Rubin Royal x Rolling Home) winning the FEI Intermediate I CDI3* with a score of 69.706%. Blitz and Creech received a Triple Crown backpack and prize money from the CDI.
