Parker, CO.  - Triple Crown® Nutrition wraps up another successful summer at The Colorado Horse Park Summer In The Rockies Series, awarding the Triple Crown Excellence Award to top competitors. The Triple Crown Excellence Award was given out weekly during the seven-week series to a top finisher that showed great character and performances. The winner received a vibrant tri colored ribbon, engraved plate, and a free bag of feed from Triple Crown. This week Katharin Gualtieri and Castalano took home this coveted award and have big goals going forward.

Gualtieri, a Parker, Colo. local, came in this week with her own Castalano showing in the $20,000 Open Welcome Stakes, and in the $100,000 Summer In The Rockies Grand Prix. Castalano is a sixteen-year-old Oldenburg gelding that Gualtieri breed herself. “I bred him. I am the only one who has ever shown him and he just tries his heart out for me,” said Gualtieri of her special bond with him. Having a perfect ride is something that all riders have learned almost never happens, but Gualtieri came pretty close. “I think my horse was awesome. I could have ridden a few spots better, but we went double clean so I can’t complain.” Coming off a strong campaign at The Colorado Horse Park, Gualtieri’s goals are to continue improving on their Grand Prix results.
