Triple Crown® Excellence Award Goes to Susan Dutta During Week 10

Making her own top level Grand Prix horses is something that celebrated dressage rider Susan Dutta is known for. “I believe in making your own horses, and I’m very lucky that I’ve had the opportunity to learn how to do so,” Dutta said. “So, I’ve made quite a few, which has allowed me to always have a horse in the Grand Prix Ring.”

Dutta actually had two horses in the ring during Week 10 of the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) in Wellington, Florida, and they both rode their way to blue ribbons. Riding her 9-year-old horse, Don Design DC, in the Test of Choice-Young Horse Grand Prix, Dutta scored a 69.3%. She explained, “We made a few mistakes, but we’re going to be able to clean those up!”

Then, riding her 10-year-old, Fegeac DC, in another FEI Test of Choice – Intermediare II, she scored 71.9 to take the win again.
