Thursday, September 4, 2025 | Mary Phelps
Lähden, Germany – The 2025 FEI Para Driving World Championship began well for the USA, with defending Champion Tracy Bowman and Albrecht’s Hoeve’s Lars with the best score of the day 41.2. The US Team is now in Silver Medal position after day one, Dressage.
Defending World Champion
Bowman and Albrecht’s Hoeve’s Lars are the defending gold medalists individually for Grade I, having won in both 2021 and 2023, and will look to make history with a third win this year. She “commutes” from her training and breeding facility, Kismet Farms, near San Fransico, California, to Manage Chardon, near Delft, Netherlands, where she often leaves Lars in the capable hands of her long-time trainer, Bram Chardon.
Tracy has developed several riders up through the 5* level in eventing, and her students continue to achieve top results, from the starter level through the FEI ranks.
The U.S. has historically had success at this event, winning team silver at the last championship in 2023.
