Langley, British Columbia, Canada – When elite competitors endorse a product, equestrians take note. When they are enthusiastic about an entire suite of products from a single manufacturer, it’s time to investigate. Leslie Reid, a Canadian three-time Olympic dressage athlete based out of the Top Fox Equestrian Centre in Langley, British Columbia, is a firm believer in Omega Alpha products to keep her horses in tip-top form.

Reid began her equestrian career as a jumper, and moved to dressage in 1980. She has been a member of three Pan American Games teams, qualified for three Olympic Game teams, and ridden in two World Cup of Dressage competitions. She has been named the Canadian Coach of the Year, is a Pam American Games Gold and Silver medalist, and is the winner of the 1996 World Cup of Dressage— so she knows a thing or two about how to keep high-performance equine partners in winning health. Reid has been an Omega Alpha Ambassador since 2003 and uses a variety of the company’s products. She is especially enthusiastic about Tetda, a natural liniment that soothes tired muscles and increases blood flow to aid in muscle recovery after exercise. She also loves Herba Coat, an all-natural coat conditioner and moisturizer with aloe vera, sunflower, lavender, and neem oils to leave the coat healthy and glowing.

“Tetda is effective and not too strong for daily use. The Herba Coat is a great coat conditioner, especially on horses who suffer from dry hair. I have used it on a number of my horses, including Fine and Smart, Landor, and Kobal.”

Fine and Smart, an eleven-year-old Westphalian gelding (Fuerst Piccolo x Whoopy, Worldman) owned by Julie Sears Ledorze, took Reid to the victory lap in the Intermediare Freestyle at the CDI3* Ottowa Dressage Festival in May. Reid and Landor, a nine-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Largow xQuelly Van Het Keizerhof, Tamara) owned by Deryol Andrews, also took the blue ribbon in the Intermediaire Freestyle at the 2015 Calgary CDI3*. Reid’s own Kobal Cen is a PRE who has also competed successfully in the small tour. Reid has all three horses training and, with the help of Omega Alpha products, they are all Grand Prix ready. Her goal is to compete all three of them at the Grand Prix level in 2016.

To help keep horses in peak condition, Omega Alpha has created a variety of award-winning products using only natural, botanical ingredients. Whether your equine partner requires a formulation to support respiration, digestion, joint health, hormonal balance, immune health, detoxification, muscle rehabilitation, endurance, or performance, Omega Alpha has you covered.
