Wednesday nights at the Player's Club is the place to be!
Wellington, FL  – Thanks to a stunning piaffe and passage tour, along with an incredible line of one-tempis, Tami Hoag gave a bestselling ride that landed her in the winner’s circle during the third week of the star-studded Top Shelf Dressage Under the Stars competition at the Player’s Club & Restaurant. Hoag, a professional dressage rider and author of 15 New York Times bestselling novels, rode her 23-year-old Grand Prix mare Feliki to unanimously win the competition. “Tami really wowed the crowd with a spectacular ride.

While Tami is famous for her unforgettable suspense novels, her ride at Dressage Under the Stars won’t be forgotten any time soon either, it was thrilling,” said Neil Hirsch, owner of the Players Club. “Each week during the Dressage Under the Stars series we have had a star-studded line up of celebrity judges and riders and this week was no exception.”

The celebrity judges included Olympic “O” Judge Volkar Mortiz and International dressage star Cesar Parra. Amy Bower Doucette, of the Palm Beach Post, served as the media judge, while Joseph Der, CEO of Der-Dau boots, served as the style judge. “Our judges throughout the series have included Olympic Gold Medalist Anky van Grunsven and her husband Sjef Janssen, the top dressage coach in the world, as well as reining USEF Equestrian of the Year and World Cup winner Steffen Peters,” Hirsch said.

Hoag was up against top competition during the star-studded night, riding against Canadian Grand Prix Dressage rider Chris von Martels, Danish Olympian Bent Jensen and USDF Gold Medalist and Grand Prix rider Jim Koford. “Jim pulled out all the stops and did a Batman routine with a cape that was really spectacular,” Hirsch said.

Hoag and Feliki’s winning ride earned Hoag a collection of prizes including a $500 cash prize from the Player’s Club, a $100 gift certificate from SmarkPak and a two-month supply of SUCCEED®. Hoag’s win also qualified her for the grand finale on March 17th, which will offer over $10,000 in prizes. The Wellington Institute, a wellness center dedicated to medical and dental aesthetics and anti-aging medicine, donated gift certificates to the institute to each rider and judge. Additional sponsors for the evening included Equilite, Draper Equine Therapy, Sho Clothes, Choice of Champions and Premiere Equestrian.

“Patron Tequila, Perrier Jouet Champagne and Absolut Vodka are also sponsoring the series and we want to give them a big thanks,” Hirsch said. “I want to encourage everyone to come out on Wednesday nights for this amazing and free event. Having dinner and watching horses perform and dance on the field is pretty special.”

Dressage Under The Stars runs every Wednesday night, concluding with a grand finale on March 17th that boasts over $10,000 in prizes. Prizes include a check for $2,500 cash from the Player’s Club Restaurant, a gorgeous saddle donated by Custom Saddlery, a beautiful dressage bridle from SmartPak Equine, Der-Dau custom paddock boots, Draper Equine Therapy Deluxe Dressage Package and great products from Equilite Sore No More®, Sho Clothes, Dressage Training Online, The Tackeria, Choice of Champions and a gift certificate from The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center.
