Acclaimed dressage rider Susan Dutta was awarded the Triple Crown Dressage Excellence Award by Triple Crown Florida Representative Craig Bernstein

Wellington, FL – For over 20 years, international dressage rider Susie Dutta has been developing young horses into world class competition partners, earning numerous top placings at some of the world’s most prestigious horse shows. A member of the Gold Medal 2007 Pan American Games team, Dutta’s focus, dedication, and true love of dressage have made her a respected role model for fellow trainers and to emerging young riders as well.

Craig Bernstein, Triple Crown’s Florida representative, was pleased to honor Dutta for her exceptional achievements with the Triple Crown Dressage Excellence Award at the 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival.

Dutta earned the award not only for her standout show ring performances, but also for the overall contributions she has made to the sport. She has served on the USEF Dressage High Performance Committee and, along with an impressive resume, has focused her career on producing young horses that become spectacular, fit, top-level Grand Prix competitors able to perform well at the highest levels over the long term.

To keep her horses on the fast track, Dutta divides her training and competing schedule between the United States and Europe. Over the years, she has worked with some of the world’s top dressage masters, including Rudolph Zeilinger, Klaus Balkenhol, George Theodorscu, Robert Dover, and Dennis Callin. Currently, while stateside in Florida, she trains out of Tuny Page’s Stillpoint Farm with Oded Shimoni. In Germany, Dutta trains with Juergen Koschel.

“It’s a journey,” Dutta said. “We are a family of horse lovers and this is a lifestyle for us. My husband Tim and I have never had the money to buy made horses; it could be fun, I imagine, but we have always just bought young prospects. In Europe I learned how to develop and make horses. I enjoy the whole process and then the journey.”

Remarking on what keeps her motivated to make the long journey with each young horse she brings along, Dutta said, “I am just a girl who loves horses, and someone who loves to compete and loves what I am doing. I feel grateful to do this and so I really enjoy every day.”

Dutta chooses Triple Crown’s nutritionally advanced products for all of the family’s equine partners. “Triple Crown is a feed that we have always felt has high quality. The horses like it, they look great on it, and they win!”

In addition to being the first feed company to add prebiotics, probiotics, and organic minerals to horse feed, Triple Crown has always used “fixed formulas.” “Our ingredients are actually printed on the bag so they are the same in every bag you buy,” Bernstein confirmed. “Our ingredients don’t change.”

Triple Crown Nutrition, headquartered in Wayzata, Minnesota, is the official feed sponsor of the U.S. Dressage Team, the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team, and the Hermes U.S. Show Jumping Team. In addition to sponsoring the 2017 Adequan Global Dressage Festival, Triple Crown is also supporting the White Fences Equestrian Center, Wellington Classic Dressage, and the Gold Coast Dressage Association this winter.
