Junior rider and star-in-the-making Veronica West once again made a big impression on the judging panel by earning an overall score of 70.421% for her CDI Junior Rider Individual Test with her own black Hanoverian gelding Nobleman (Hatiello XX x Weira by Wenzel II). West has been competing in dressage for less than two years and the Mid-Winter Dressage CDI was her international debut, but she didn't let first-time jitters get in the way of an outstanding performance. "I was so nervous yesterday for the Team Test - it's very intimidating going in there for the first time in front of five FEI judges and not knowing where you really stand," she said. "I knew it was a solid test, but I never dreamed we would score so well. Today I did feel much more confident, and even though Nobleman was a little more tired we had another good test. He's such a wonderful horse."
