Ann Salmon, President of the Southwest Reining Horse Association, announced that Billingsley Ford of Ardmore, Oklahoma has continued its sponsorship support of the annual SWRHA Futurity and will become the presenting sponsor of the Futurity. The Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity presented by Billingsley Ford will be held October 16-21 at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore. According to SWRHA former President Jack Covington, the decision to give Billingsley greater visibility at the futurity was made because of the already strong relationship between the auto dealership and the association."Billingsley Ford already has tremendous involvement in reining," noted Covington. "They supply pickups to many of the top trainers in the industry and have been the naming sponsor of the Open Futurity since 2006."

Covington cited the Billingsley Family, Ford Truck Sales Manager Donnie Gillham, and Assistant Used Car Manager Patrick Welch for the company's strong support of the Southwest Reining Horse Association and its members.

Gillham said, "A few years ago, we decided to focus on one discipline and chose the reining industry, specifically the Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity. It's been a great relationship. The reiners have really supported us - not only locally but internationally!" He continued, "They could do business anywhere but they choose us. We appreciate that. No discipline has been as loyal to us as the reiners."

The SWRHA Futurity presented by Billingsley Ford will feature $114,000 added in 2012, keeping its position as one of the reining industry's most important fall futurities and a great prelude to the NRHA Futurity which follows a mere month later.

The Billingsley Family has been committed to delivering the highest possible level of customer service since Travis Billingsley opened his first dealership in Lufkin, Texas in 1963. Travis's sons Mike and Craig joined the company after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. With the addition of Billingsley Ford of Lawton in 1997, Billingsley Ford Lincoln Mercury of Duncan in 1999, Billingsley Hyundai in 2006 and Billingsley Lincoln Mercury at the Lawton location in 2009, the family-owned company has grown to employ over 200 persons.
