Ithaca, NY (September 23, 2009) – Scott and Susanne Hassler, well-respected dressage riders, trainers, breeders and educators, have joined Trilogy Dressage Saddles as ambassadors to the prestigious saddle company. With over 20 years of experience in training and competing both nationally and internationally, Scott and Susanne join Trilogy’s team with a wealth of dressage knowledge and expertise.

“What an exciting addition Scott and Susanne are to our Trilogy sponsored rider team,” said Debbie Witty, President of Trilogy Dressage Saddles. “I have always admired and respected the way that the Hassler’s give back to the industry through their educational programs and their many years of setting the standard as breeders, managers, instructors and competitors.”

The Hassler’s are equally thrilled to be onboard with Trilogy. “It's an absolute honor and privilege to join the Trilogy Team. I'm riding in Trilogy’s Amadeo saddle and am convinced that the saddle is helping me ride better than ever,” said Susanne. “The saddle puts my leg in the absolute perfect position. It supports my seat to help lift my horses' shoulders and open up their movement to a new standard, thanks to the generous design of the saddle over the withers. I ride big powerful stallions yet they now feel my most subtle aids, thanks to the stability of the Amadeo on their backs.”

For many years Scott and Susanne worked with Hilltop Farm, where Scott trained and developed horses to the Grand Prix level. The Hassler’s have now turned their attention to Hassler Dressage, which is located at Riveredge in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Scott shared that he is excited about the programs that Hassler Dressage is planning at Riveredge. “We have great expectations for the future at Riveredge,” Scott said, “We are excited to share the facility with the community and have a number of fantastic educational events planned.”

Scott is passionate about dressage, and has served as a member of the USEF Dressage Committee and the USEF Breeding Committee. He has also chaired the USDF Sporthorse Committee since 2001 and his leadership has helped develop the sport/breeding related record-keeping system now active in the USDF and USEF.

Susanne also shares Scott’s passion for dressage, and believes partnering with Trilogy is a perfect fit. “I deeply appreciate the passion and commitment to excellence that underlies Trilogy saddles. Debbie Witty has not only the scientific and practical background to design and develop the most competitive saddle on the market, but she also has the passion and commitment to see that the saddles are properly fitted to make a difference for the horse and rider,” Susanne said. “I am thrilled to be riding in her saddles and look forward to all the benefits they will bring my horses and my riding.”

Witty, who has spent years helping top riders such as Debbie McDonald, Shannon Peters, Courtney King-Dye, George Williams and Guenter Seidel with their saddle fitting needs, said, “I am very pleased that the Susanne and Scott have selected the Trilogy saddles as their saddle of choice for all of the fabulous horses that they ride and train.”

Trilogy Dressage Saddles, which are built in England by some of the most experienced craftsmen in the world, caters to a world-class clientele. Witty, a qualified saddle fitter from the Society of Master Saddlers of England, has developed an eye for detail, an understanding of training, and the ability to see how the rider, saddle and the horse are all affected by each other.
