Ocala, FL Equine sports therapy and rehabilitation leader, The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Center of Ocala already knows how to treat its equine and canine clients like a million dollars, and they demonstrated equally ample generosity of spirit by once again hosting The Sanctuary VIP Tent and ‘making a splash’ at the Water Hazard of the Live Oak International CDE Marathon course at Live Oak International. The perfect setting for a horse lover's day, the shady and spacious Sanctuary VIP Tent presented a gracious and unimpeded view of each FEI and Intermediate teams as they entered and surged through the water and back to dry land for guests enjoying Southern hospitality at its best. And how lucky are the equines visiting Florida to have access to the care, facilities and technology The Sanctuary has to offer! {C}

Longtime client, and Live Oak International host, Chester Weber, joined The Sanctuary guests for the early part of the marathon, lending his observations and good humor among fans and friends before then thrilling them with a picture-perfect performance negotiating the ‘Think Outside the Box’ Water Hazard’s covered bridge and figure eight patterns.

The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Center has been partnering with Live Oak International since 2011 to offer the best of the sporting life's tradition of hospitality, opening its VIP client tent for coffee and donuts at 9:00 a.m. as the first teams greeted the course and then at lunch Sanctuary guests enjoyed a buffet of pulled pork, barbecued chicken and fresh salads, and a VIP Bar offering sweet tea, lemonade and other equestrian high spirits.

“Chester is a long-time client and we are so proud to have him as part of our Ocala horse community” said Brenda McDuffee, general manager of The Sanctuary, “which makes watching him close in on what we hope will be his eleventh national title an unforgettable experience. We are proud to play a role in ensuring that every horse on his team is at their high performance best.”

Live Oak's combined package of world class equestrian competition is one reason why Ocala is known as 'horse country' and Florida ranks among the nation's equine industry leaders. The Sanctuary effectively serves horses in the Ocala area, state, or nationwide from their 30-acre central facility and from their state-of-the-art equine mobile therapy unit that travels crosscountry to shows.

“A CDE marathon is among the greatest physical tests of an equine athlete and experiencing that horsepower firsthand from our VIP Tent is always amazing,” McDuffee said. “The Sanctuary has built its reputation on successful conditioning and rehabilitation, from jumpers to driving horses, making the Live Oak International, and its water hazard, always the perfect place to be.”

The Sanctuary features some of the world's most advanced conditioning and rehabilitation equipment, including the Pegasus Laser Therapy, a cold saltwater leg spa, an Aqua-Pacer water treadmill, Electro-magnetic Pulse Therapy, Respiratory Therapy (Transpirator II) and equine swimming pool.
