Wellington, FL - Dressage rider Sahar Daniel Hirosh has set some impressive goals for 2018 and is off to a promising start after scoring 64.348% in his first Grand Prix Global CDI tour event of the year. Custom Saddlery, crafters of tailor-made saddles for horses and riders of all levels, was proud to recognize his stellar performance at the 2018 Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida, by presenting Hirosh with The Custom Saddlery Most Valuable Rider (MVR) Award.

In its sixth year of sponsorship of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, Custom Saddlery’s Most Valuable Rider Award (MVR Award) is presented to equestrians who not only have excellent competition results but who also enhance the sport of dressage by their participation and good sportsmanship. As a winner of the MVR Award, Hirosh received a commemorative ribbon, a branded black and white Custom saddle cover and a $150 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a Custom saddle.

Hirosh demonstrated good horsemanship by quickly praising his mount, Whitman, a 15-year-old Dutch gelding (Rhodium/Saluut) who gave it his all during the ride. “It felt awesome. He was great inside. He is very honest and tries really hard,” as he described Whitman.

Originally from Tel Aviv, Hirosh explained that he has some big plans for 2018. “This was our first Grand Prix here at Global in the CDI tour. Our goal is to compete for Israel at the European Championships and the 2018 World Equestrian Games. To ride for Israel has been a dream for me,” he exclaimed. He credits Whitman’s owner and trainer, Jane Suwalsky, who he said “actually developed dressage in Israel” as a big reason that his dream is now being realized.

Coincidentally, Hirosh rides in a Custom Saddle, which was specifically constructed to his exact measurements and his horse’s physique with the help of Custom Saddle Fitter Frank Tobias. A unique feature of the saddle is its unusual color – with the help of Custom Saddlery - Hirosh was able to design a saddle displaying the blue and white color of the Israeli flag to honor his dream of representing his country.
