Robert Dover Has Back Surgery - Plans Moving Ahead For World Wide Symposium Tour

After announcing his retirement from competitive riding and daily teaching, Dressage Olympian, Robert Dover had surgery on his back, an ailment which has plagued him for years, and contributed to the early retirement of the six-time Olympian. Dover is “a bit sore” but doing well, and in Florida. “The doctor thinks I'll be pain free in 10 days. After all these years I don't have any idea what that would feel like!”

Mean while, after Dover announced through DressageDaily his interest in developing atour of symposiums, designed for riders and spectators alike, he has been deluged with responses from England, Ireland, Belgium, California, New Jersey, Virginia, New York, and Texas. Dover is hoping to begin with his first one in January. ”Sounds like my retirement may look like Cher's World Retirement Tour” Robert joked.
