Driving Organizers & Officials,

As you know, the FEI rolled out significant changes to the 2022 FEI Driving Rules which are now in effect. The Federation’s Driving Sport Committee (DSC) was involved throughout the entire rule change process, but the final FEI rules weren’t published until very late in December. The DSC reviewed the FEI rule changes & then quickly submitted our relevant USEF rule changes to follow suit. I sent out a Newsletter & webinar of the upcoming changes to the whole Driving membership, but these do not cover all of the detailed changes that affect Organizers & Officials.

The complete red-line & new draft of the 2022 USEF rules (based on the FEI changes) cannot be published until approved by the Board of Directors this weekend, however, we must move forward with communicating these changes & educating Officials, Organizers & Athletes. We have another Newsletter with this draft & the webinar review of the rules going out to the Driving members this week as well.

**Please take a moment to review the Proposed Rule Changes (Tracking 080-21) which outlines all of the FEI changes that are being adopted by USEF rules.Once approved by the Board of Directors at the USEF Annual Meeting, these rules will go into effect January 21, 2022.

I will be reaching out to Organizers/Officials of the first few events this year to make sure everyone feels prepared. We all know that Athletes will need some help on-site managing these changes – please be patient with everyone & approach this with an educational/supporting attitude.

I am available to anyone who needs assistance. Thank you for all you do!

Kind regards,
Danielle Aamodt
Director of Driving
