Coming up this week, and offering two Dressage shows in one weekend at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois, June  21-23, the Illinois Dressage and Combined Training Association is gearing up with the support of sponsors galore hosting parties Friday and Saturday nights with High Point Awards supported by an array of sponsors. The Lamplight Equestrian Center under new ownership in 2013 has beefed up the footing with all the ambiance and extras the facility is known for. With a full schedule of USDF and FEI classes scheduled in three rings from 2-5 each day, the popular springtime show is the meeting place for competitors a day trip for USDF Members from Regions 2 and 4, drawing entries from close to 10 states. Always known for their great parties, food and wine this year will have live music and “Themes”. DressageDaily will be on the scene as the official photographer for the show, and Mary Phelps, a Markel Insurance Specialist will be giving out Back On Track Saddle Pads, Mini Blankets and other items for both High Point and the Markel “Register to Win Drawing”. But wait there’s more!Participant, Vendors, and Volunteers are all invited to two great evenings of food, fun and festivities.

Get in the 4th of July spirit early and think Patriotic. The evenings festivities begins with live music by Two Easy, for and drink sponsored by; Oster, RA Adams Enterprises, Priefert Ranch Equipment, Weiss Chiropractic, and Barrington Saddlery. Dress in your USA themed clothes and accessories.

Saturday Night Freestyles set the evening’s tone for the Fancy Hat Contest and Party. Put on your most decorative hat (or make one up) and watch the Freestyles then eat, drink and be merry. Prizes will be awarded for the best hat. Dinner and drinks sponsored by DressageDaily’s Mary Phelps with Markel Insurance, and Lamplight Equestrian Center. Mary Phelps and Tracey Scharf will be drawing for several prizes from Back On Track and items from the ShopHorsesdaily Shopping cart from the “Markel Register to Win” drawing.

High Point Prizes in all divisions will be presented with donations and products from Vendors and Sponsors. Mary Phelps and Markel will be presenting Back on Track Saddle Pads and Mini Blankets. I

n a new direction with the USDF, Dover Saddlery is sponsoring High point prizes for the New Rider Classes, which focus mainly on the skill of the rider.

More awards and gifts along with gorgeous ribbons will include Walsh Halters, FITS show shirts, more saddle pads form KL Select, Kerrits Ventilator Shirts, Oster Clippers and more.

SSG will provide cash prizes to any competitor who win a a class wearing SSG Gloves.
