Wellington, FL - The 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival has begun crowning winners in the ring, and Official Partner and Sponsor The Horse Of Course kicked off the season with the year’s first Horse of Course High Score Award at Week 1 of the festival. This week, the highest-scoring horse at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival was a pony competing in the show series’ new pony division. The Horse of Course was proud to crown rider Hannah Beaulieu of Maple Ridge of British Columbia, Canada, and Prince Z with The Horse of Course High Score Award—given to the highest-scoring pair of the show. The tiny twosome scored an incredible 80.455% in the USEF Training Level 3 Pony Division for JR/YR. Prince Z, a 13.1-hand black German Riding Pony born in 2004, is owned by young Farah Rizvi and her family’s Peacock Ridge, LLC.
Prince Z will now sport his prize of a beautiful new embroidered saddle pad from The Horse of Course. The Horse Of Course will continue to present the High Score Award to the highest-scoring pairs during each CDI week at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.
The German-born Prince Z was unbeatable all weekend, also helping his owner Rizvi win first place in the USEF Training Level 3 Pony Division for JR/YR with a score of 72.5%. Both Beaulieu and Rizvi shared high praise of Prince Z. “He’s an amazing pony,” said Beaulieu. “He is so on it. He just knows his job.”
“I personally am so excited about having ponies around. And I am so glad to be involved in giving you a pretty saddle pad!” The Horse of Course’s CEO Beth Haist said to Beaulieu. “We are always looking to give back and support our dressage community. Dressage riders from around the world have come to rely on finding our products, clothing, and saddles at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, and we really have begun to feel like partners in many of their show careers.” As Prince Z demonstrated, talent comes in all sizes— and of course, products from The Horse of Course do, too. “If this saddle pad doesn’t fit your pony, you come see me and I’ll make Prince Z his very own saddle pad in the perfect size!” Haist added to Beaulieu.
