Oklahoma City, Oklahoma -  The second annual National Reining Horse Association Gathering of Legends is scheduled for noon Friday, November 30, during the NRHA Futurity.

The special reception will be held in the Great Hall of the NRHA Headquarters office, located at 3000 NW Tenth Street in Oklahoma City.

Hall of Fame Committee liaison Carol Trimmer, noted, "We created this event in 2000, to acknowledge the contributions of the Hall of Fame members, and to honor them. It's special to have them all here together for this event."

Another highlight of the reception will be the presentation of the first-ever NRHA National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Vaquero Media Awards. The awards are a joint effort between the museum and the National Reining Horse Association to recognize the contribution of the media to the reining industry over the past year.

The newly-created National Reining Horse Association Foundation will be introduced, as well, along with NRHA Sponsors Markel Insurance Company, Pfizer Animal Health, Kiser Arena Specialists, Horse & Rider Magazine, Cinch, Sundowner Trailers, Land O'Lakes Farmland Feed, Stateline Tack, Saddlesmith of Texas, and NRHA.Reining.net.

"We invite everyone to come and celebrate NRHA history, old and new," said Trimmer. "It is a great opportunity to show your appreciation to those individuals, Hall of Famers and sponsors who have impacted the sport of reining through their actions, financial support and dedication."
