Nicole Uphoff Relocates to Be On Her Own
Wednesday, April 26, 2000 | Mary Phelps
Thirty-three year old Nicole Uphoff from Duisburg, Germany has moved with her Olympic Champion, the retired Rembrandt (Westphalian, by Romadour II) and a barn full of equine talent to Vechta, with boyfriend Trevor Morgen, a jumper rider and trainer, to begin her own business. This ends the working relationship she has had with the owner of Gestut Vorwerk, Gudula Vorwerk-Happ that she has had since March 1998, where she has contributed to the success of the highly decorated stallions Rubinstein I, Relevant and Regal Dancer. "I want to continue riding Relevant if Gudula allows me to, but I will no longer work at her barn," Uphoff stated when the news was broadcast.
