Lexington, Ky. – Misdee Wrigley Miller (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) has notified US Equestrian that she will unfortunately be unable to participate in the 2022 FEI Driving World Championship for Four-in-Hand Horses due to untimely personal health concerns and based on the recommendation from her physician.

"It is with great disappointment that I have withdrawn from the World Four-In-Hand Championships." Miller posted on the Hillcroft Farm Combined Driving Facebook Page. "For the last several weeks, I have been dealing with a severe upper respiratory condition that I have been unable to shake; which would be exasperated by training and competing. Now is the time to step back and take care of my health so I can return full strength in the near future."

Miller was part of the US Gold Medal Team at the FEI World Championships for Four-In-Hand-Horses in Tryon, NC 2018, lending her talent especially in the Dressage where she has always produced results at the top of the leaderboard.

The 2022 FEI Driving World Championship for Four-in-Hand Horses will take place from September 21-25, 2022, in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. As a result of Miller’s withdrawal, the US will not be represented as a team, which allows a minimum of two competitors. Chester Weber (Ocala, Fla.) will compete as the sole U.S. athlete representative at the championship and compete as an individual.

Competition will begin on Thursday, September 22, with dressage, and continue through Sunday, September 25, crowning team and individual world champions.
