The equestrian world lost one of their best on September 30, 2001. Sarah was a life-long equestrienne in many and varied ways. She was a graduate of Michigan State's Veterinary Technician Program and had a long career bothTraining and competing.

Sarah had a lovely way with horses and turned heads upon entering the dressage arena. She was a Regional Champion, Judge, Trainer, Instructor, USDF Qualified Rider, & USDF Bronze Medallist, (one score shy of the Silver). Sarah had an impressive client list and has left many friends and students better for having known her.

Her positive attitude and softly winning ways will forever be emblazoned by those lucky enough to have known her. She married the love of her life, Lance Mather, at her best friend's home, (Debby Buck DeJonge), on June 16, 2001.

She was well known for her caricatures, which have been featured in the Midwest and Florida. Sarah is featured in two videos: 'Fun Freestyles', (where she performed a routine as 'Cher'), and 'Hit The Trails' an instructive work demonstrating cross training, safety and Fun on the trails. Sarah loved to perform freestyles both in competition and for demonstrations.

Her coach, Roz Kintsler has suggested a perpetual freestyle trophy and scholarship in her honor. Her friends at Faraway Farm are planting a tree (near 'S'), so they can forever hear her melodic words. Ride on Sarah, we love you!!!!!!
