USEF Dressage National Championships 2018

For five days in August, the young horse talent of the US will be highlighted and the beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center, in Wayne Illinois. Dedicated riders, trainers, breeders, owners and grooms have invested and devoted their energies to this program.

Since 2015 Christine Traurig has been the Young Horse Coach for the US and has worked tirelessly with passion and enthusiasm that supports the dedication of all who are involved.

From DressageDaily's Mary Phelps
As a long time Equine and Farm Insurance Specialist with Markel I consider my participation in this sponsorship to be one the the absolute highlights of my career.

After attending my first World Young Horse Championships in 2002, it was clear we needed a similar program in the US. Those were my early days coming on board with Markel, and I want to thank them for recognizing the value in supporting this program.

What has evolved is a system for training and laying down a healthy and sensible program for the development of young horses in this country.

This is a program and a goal that requires total dedication for all involved. We recognize and appreciate the support of the our National Coach Christine Traurig, the riders, owners, breeders and grooms making the jouney to Lamplight each year. See you soon!
