Four-Star Eventer To Compete in Premier UK Events for Summer-Fall Season

Frederick, Maryland, USA, July 11, 2012 - International Eventer and Grand Prix Show Jumper, Marilyn Little-Meredith is now in England to campaign three of her horses in Europe for the summer and fall eventing seasons.
The 14 year old Hanoverian gelding RF Rovano Rex (Ramires x Flory - Florestan I) owned by Raylyn Farms, Inc. and RF Smoke on the Water the grey 7 year old Wurttemburg gelding (Samos x Zuchtbuch Rapaula - Rapaulo) owned by Raylyn Farms, Inc. & Michael & Pheobe Manders will be joined by Little-Meredith's new partner, the 7 year old KWPN mare RF Azarah by Tolan R owned by Raylyn Farms, Inc. and John Cox, Nancy Nelson, and Rick Moore.

Little-Meredith has selected premier events in the UK and Europe including Aston le Walls, Oxfordshire, August 9-11 - http://aston-le-walls.co.uk/ where Rex and Smoke will compete in the Advanced and then go to Malmo CIC3*-W, Sweden, August 10-12.

"The cancellation of the Gatcombe Horse Trials due to the incredible toll taken on the footing as a result of continued flooding here in England is not only a loss for my own horses, which had shipped here several weeks ago to prepare for the British Open, but also a loss for the sport and its fans," noted Little-Meredith. "Like many others, we have returned to the drawing board and formulated a new plan that will take the horses to the Advanced at Aston-le-Walls and then on to the World Cup event in Malmo, Sweden. I feel that Malmo's footing, terrain and atmosphere will be a great return to FEI competition for Rovano Rex, and will prove a challenging yet appropriate debut for Smoke On The Water into the 3* level."

"I am really looking forward to beginning competition with RF Azarah at Aston Le Walls, and then hopefully in her first 2* at Somerford Park in August. She is such an athlete and I have every confidence that she will be an incredible force in the sport in the very near future. She possesses every quality I hope to find in an eventing partner; heart, scope, elegance, intelligence, and incredible athleticism. I cannot speak highly enough of her, and a special congratulations is due to John Cox, Nancy Nelson, and Rick Moore on their ownership of this talented mare."

RF Smoke on the Water has been on top form this spring with a win at Red Hills Horse Trials in his first CIC2*; a third place at The Fork CIC 2* and 4th place at the Bromont CCI2*.

RF Rovano Rex has also showed his consistency this spring with a second place finish in the Red Hills CIC3* and seventh place in an Advanced division at The Fork before making his four star debut at The Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event where he finished with a clear cross country round. 'Rex' headed the dressage phase at the Bromont CIC 3* and received a bye to go cross country in the final U.S. Olympic Selection Trials.

RF Azarah has previously been ridden by British-based Australian rider Lucinda Fredericks. She joined the team in Gloucestershire this week and will compete in the Intermediate at Aston-le-Walls. Azarah is also entered for Somerford Park CIC2*, Congelton, Cheshire, August 17-19th http://www.somerfordpark.co.uk.
