Looking Back – WEG Team Bronze in 1994

Two years after the United States Dressage Team captured the bronze medal, at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, they did it again in the summer of 1994 in den Hague, the Netherlands, at the World Equestrian Games. Shown here are – Robert Dover and Suzanne Dansby’s Devereaux, a KWPN Dutch Warmblood by Wagenaar, Kathleen Raine and Avontuur, a KWPN Warmblood by Ultrazon. Carol Lavell and Gifted, a Hanoverian by Garibaldi II, and Gary Rockwell with his Danish mare, Suna by Asferg Cyklo out of Yrsa, who was later sold to Lea Anne Neal. Six years later, both Dover and Raine with different mounts have made it to America’s top twelve.
