Lixa Wilcox and Gallant Reflection HU

Lisa Wilcox waited until Gallant Reflection HU was a 6-year-old to begin his competitive career, and it looks like the strategy worked.

Qualifying for the finals was their goal which they achieved early in 2015 in Florida at the Global Dressage Festival 4 - Score 8.24, and again at the Global Dressage Festival 7 - Score 8.40, Gallant Reflection HU  is headed into the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships ranked number one.

Bred by USEF Dressage Breeder of the Year, Horses Unlimited, Albuquerque, NM – USA, "Reef" is by their late Olympic stallion, Galant du Serein and out of EM Rohmanie by Rohdiamant.

Wilcox earned the US Dressage Team Bronze medal in the 2004 Olympic Games with Relevant, knows the way to Lamplight, where she won the Developing Horse Grand Prix Championship with another Horses Unlimited's son Pikko Del Cerro HU, by Pik L, in 2012. Both stallions are out of mares by Rohdiamant.

“I'm very pleased with Gallant Reflection's first season competing,” said Wilcox. “You don't always know what you are going to have with a young horse that hasn't shown before but he showed us just how smart and straightforward he is. He figured things out very quickly, paid attention and is enjoyable to ride. This young stallion is a true pleasure to train,” said Wilcox. “His temperament is wonderful, he's a real intellectual and loves to learn.”

Gallant Reflection HU is a licensed Zweibrucker (RPSI) stallion who was Reserve Champion at the 2013 North American 70 Day Stallion Testing.
