Life in Florida

One in particular, a coming 4-year old named Cinderella, a KWPN mare (Florencio x Havel) that Anna prepared for her first keuring in Florida September 2010 at Dr. Sandy Lieb’s Pennock Point Sporthorse Center. Owned by Stapleton, the flashy mare passed with flying colors, scoring 77.5 on her IBOP and followed it up with same score tied for first in the 3-year old DG Bar Cup class. Anna enjoys showing the chestnut with four socks whose temperament she describes as confidant with an ego but very good-natured.
“Fixing older horses is different than teaching young horses.” He had problems with his changes and getting behind the leg. With specific exercises from Nairn, Anna figured him out to be tricky, not naughty.
“We just kept on showing him and he got better. Once he understood, he came along very quickly winning (with Anna) at PSG last year and then I-1 with scores in the mid to high 60's.” When his amateur owner could also ride him into the ring, well-behaved and happy, showing PSG this summer, Anna was thrilled. She plans on continuing the I-1 this winter with him in FL and see how things go.
