Doug and Louise Leatherdale have expanded their horse operations to include a new high end and exclusive dressage training facility in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. The Leatherdale’s, long time sponsors of Olympian Sue Blinks, hosted a lovely pool and barn side party for the Southern California dressage community.

Several dressage competitors and members of the ground jury from the weekend’s Dressage Affaire attended the party.

Host Doug Leatherdale remarked about his excitement to now have a “Leatherdale Farm West.” “We have a farm in Minnesota and one in Germany. Louise and I had wanted to have a warm place to go during the winter, and since we have been with Sue for so long, this seemed perfect.

Sue has a nice place to train and we have a nice winter home. The barn holds twelve horses, right now five are ours and the others are Sue’s clients’ horses.”

Willis Allen realtor and equestrian properties specialist, Sean Caddell, helped Blinks and the Leatherdales find this lovely Rancho Santa Fe home.

Caddell has supervised the remodel and interior design of the home, and addition of grooms’ quarters. Liv Gude has supervised all of the exterior improvements including the barn addition, arenas and landscaping.

The grounds and home fit beautifully with the Rancho Santa Fe elegant ranch style.
