Ramatuelle, France - June 6, 2015 - Olympian Laura Kraut rode Cherry Knoll Farm's Constable to the sixth place finish on Friday during the gelding's first-ever 1.50m class at the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show held at Pampelonne in Ramatuelle, on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. The pair went double clear and jumped exceptionally well through the triple, which was an increasingly problematic aspect of the course for many of their opponents.

"Constable is a little bit of a hot horse, I think he's got a little bit of freak in him," Kraut expressed with a laugh. "It's becoming apparent that he knows not to touch the poles--today was either his 12th or 13th class without a rail."

The chestnut's feisty spirit helped prove his worth during the Prix Julius Bär as he tripped the timer with a quick 41.01 seconds in the jump-off, just 5.77 seconds behind leader Jose Maria Larocca on his mount GDA Matrix, who rode away with the win.

The results from Friday's impressive competition mark a huge step in Constable's career as an international competitor, and Kraut has decided the gelding deserves to rest easy for the remainder of the weekend. Going forward, Kraut plans on bringing Constable along to Hickstead as her third horse in order to gain some mileage, then will proceed to work him along slowly up until the Winter Equestrian Festival this upcoming December, where the pair will once again compete.

The success of the combination Friday afternoon proved that the pair is one to keep an eye out for, and viewers and competitors alike can expect nothing less than a promising future for the two.
