KATYDID COMBINED DRIVING EVENT
The Katydid CDE continues to be one of the top driving events in the southeast and the largest show of its kind in South Carolina. Recognized by the FEI as well as the USE and ADS, Katydid CDE is one of the few international competitions in North America. This is a special kind of horse-and-carriage triathlon, featuring dressage, cross-country, and obstacle driving, requiring elegance, finesse, speed, and agility of horse and driver.
The show once again features the Carolina Challenge. This special award is given to the best driver in each division who competes at both our event and the Pine Tree CDE in Southern Pines, NC in October.
We will also offer a limited number of reserved parking spots near the exciting water obstacle, for those who want to organize tailgating parties.
Show hours 9:00 to 4:00 Thursday – Saturday and 9:00 to 2:00 on Sunday. Spectators are welcome free of charge.
