London, United Kingdom – The United States have been making big strides in dressage overseas this summer, and Katherine Bateson-Chandler has forging a path of success in the show area since her arrival in the United Kingdom in July. Her efforts have paid off, as she and her Grand Prix mount, Welnetta, have been named to the US Dressage Team for the Dressage at Hickstead CDIO3* Nations Cup, July 31-Aug 3. Bateson-Chandler is fresh off a successful show with the KWPN (Hexagon’s Louisville x Rubiquil) mare, where they were reserve in the Hartpury CDI3* Grand Prix Special, bested only by 2012 Olympic Team Gold Medalist and her coach, Carl Hester. The Hartpury CDI marked the first show of her European season, and now she will join teammates Susie Dutta, Lisa Wilcox, and Brian Hafner in representing the red, white, and blue at Hickstead.
