Wilmington, Del. - As anticipation builds for this summer's FEI World Single Horse Championships in Piber, Austria, reigning National Champion and former World Champion driver Suzy Stafford announces the launch of a fundraising campaign whereby supporters can join in the excitement as she and her charismatic Morgan mare PVF Peace of Mind, USEF's 2015 Horse of the Year (better known as Hunny) pursue another Gold Medal to bring home for the USA. As part of this campaign and to the delight of their many fans, Stafford has also released a new video which shows "straight from the horse's mouth" how excited Hunny is to take on the world.

"I believe we are going to have a very strong U.S. team this year. The equestrian world is ready for a driving team medal, and Hunny and I are ready and prepared to do our best and help the Team earn that for the USA," said Stafford. "I am so excited to show the world how hard we have been working towards this goal. Maybe I am a bit biased, but I know I have a super star in front of me with Hunny, and I am prepared to show her off and just stay out of her way!"

A myriad of final preparations are well underway for Stafford and Hunny to make the transatlantic journey to Europe, where they will spend almost eight weeks training and competing leading up to the World Championships on August 3-7. However, in order to continue on this quest for a gold medal, Stafford and Hunny need the support of fans, family, and friends who will not only cheer her on, but also donate to their fundraising campaign. "The unfortunate reality is that funding for the U.S. team from our national federation is very limited for driving, and the cost of round-trip airfare for horses, people, carriages and equipment can run into tens of thousands of dollars, plus all the other expenses that add up from being on the road and showing for an extended period of time. It's daunting," Stafford explained.

"In addition, it's always difficult when you are a professional trainer and compete at this level with a horse you personally own because you not only have to fund your own way, but you also lose business while you are away traveling. I've come up with some very creative training techniques but have not yet figured out how to clone myself," laughed Stafford. "I am truly grateful for the wonderful clients that I have in the barn - not only are they patient with me and my show schedule, but they are willing to live without me for two months while Hunny and I chase our dream. Their support is amazing and I couldn't do this without them."

Stafford's fundraising campaign offers fans several easy ways to show their support, including tax-deductible donations through the American Horse Trials Foundation, payments via credit card through PayPal, or checks sent directly to Team Stafford. Not only will donors be supporting Suzy and Hunny's pursuit of a gold medal, but fans contributing $175 or more will receive an exclusive Team Stafford USA t-shirt and limited edition "Go Hunny" foam finger to proudly show their support. "Hunny is a phenomenon, the 'it girl'. She has so many fans around the world and I hope they will support her," said Stafford. "Every little bit helps. I thank everyone for their support and I can't wait to share this journey with you!"
