Friday, January 22, 2016
Wellington, FL - The first week of the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival took off to a great start, with high caliber international competitors already bringing their best to the winter competition in Wellington, Florida. The highest score earned throughout the entire first week was a 75.370%, claimed by Janine Little of British Columbia and Ebony, a seven-year-old Friesian mare owned by Shawneen Jacobs. The Horse of Course, Inc., a popular mobile tack shop on site at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, is dedicated to honoring the best in the dressage world— which includes offering top quality products and rewarding top scoring riders. The company presented Little and Ebony with the Horse of Course High Score Award for their impressive score, earned in their First Level test.
The Horse of Course, based in Claremore, Oklahoma, is an Official Partner and Sponsor of the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival. Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course, awarded Little and Ebony with a tricolored ribbon and an embroidered commemorative cooler for their winning ride.
“Ebony was really good, especially for her first show at the Global show grounds this year,” Little said. “Last year, she was a bit afraid of the show grounds here, since she had a few moments spooking with the flags. I was a little bit concerned she may be nervous this year, but she was very brave.” Despite inclement weather during the first show of the season, Ebony remained calm and collected. “Under the circumstances of torrential rain and wind, I was quite proud of her. She was a really good girl— I can’t complain,” Little concluded.
Little looks forward to the upcoming weeks of competition at the Wellington, Florida show grounds competing with Ebony and her other young developing horses. She stated, “I have a lot of young horses that I am bringing out this year, so my goals are to make them solid at the levels of which they are competing, and give them some good experiences. Our goal for these horses is to compete in the FEI classes in the next year or two.”
The Horse of Course is a strong supporter of the equestrian community and travels across the United States attending and sponsoring horse shows. The Horse of Course is a one-stop shop for leading equestrians who are looking for top quality, fairly-priced merchandise. Popular brands that The Horse of Course carries include Konig, Pikeur, Kentucky, Eskadron, Grand Prix, Vespucci, Cavallo, Passler, Redbarn, Schockemohle, Romfh, USG, Neue Schule, and Sommer.
