Beth Heist of the Horse of Course presents Katie Robicheaux with the Horse of Course High Score Award

Wellington, FL - When it comes to dressage, there’s no joking around for Katie Robicheaux, who won the first Horse of Course High Score Award of the season at Week 1 of the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 2018 at the Equestrian Village at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida. In the first-ever appearance by her Dutch Warmblood (Lord Leatherdale/Negro) It’s A Joke in an AGDF arena, the head trainer at LaCadiane Equine Management in Medfield, Massachusetts, fluidly piloted the five year-old gelding to a 80.227% score to win their Training Level Test 3 and top honors from Beth and Marty Haist, owners of The Horse of Course.

“This was his first show at Global,” beamed the USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist, who began riding at age nine, represented the United States in Verden, Germany in the Young Horse Dressage Championships, and has continued to hone her skills under the mentorship of top instructors Heather Blitz, Michelle Gibson, Ashley Holzer and Mary Wanless. The 16.1 hand bay gelding has been under the training of Robicheaux and her husband since they purchased him as a two-and-a-half-year-old.

“It’s an honor to start this celebrated series on such a high note and score,” said Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course. “We’re always thrilled to connect fellow riders in our sport with quality products, and recognize the commitment that goes into achieving an exceptional performance with The Horse of Course High Score Award.”

“I love The Horse of Course,” said Robicheaux. “I’ve grown up with them. They always have what I need and if they don’t, they will find it! I love the brands they carry.” Now Robicheaux and her horse will bring some very special items back home, including their own The Horse of Course High Score Award tri-color and cooler, and that’s no joke.
