Iron Spring Farm's UB40 Receives Keur Predicate from the KWPN

Iron Spring Farm's stallion UB40 received the prestigious Keur predicate from the Royal Dutch Warmblood Studbook (KWPN) in the Netherlands. The Keur designation is a result of consistently producing outstanding offspring that make a positive contribution to the KWPN studbook. UB40 has sired dozens of winning sport offspring in both Europe and North America.
Highlights of UB40's 2017 Winning North American Offspring
UB40 sired 45 USEF point earners in 2017, including eight at FEI. Clapton JP won the GAIG/USDF Region 3 Grand Prix Championship. Clapton qualified for the regional championship at the competitive Adequan Global Dressage Festival. The 2007 gelding out of Liana (by G Ramiro Z) was ridden by Holger Bechtloff and was bred and is owned by by Peggy Mills.
The UB40 daughter Elzarma TF had an outstanding year that culminated with the GAIG/USDF Region 2 Prix St. Georges Junior/Young Rider Championship. El Zarma's wins also included the AGCO/USEF Reserve National Young Rider Championship with Rebekah Mingari. El Zarma, out of Allure S, by Rousseau, was bred by and is owned by Kerrin Dunn.
Dalwhinney, owned and ridden by Hailey Guard, won the U.S. Dressage Second Level Freestyle Championship with a 74.556%, as well as both the Second Level and Second Level Freestyle Championships at the GAIG/USDF Region 1 Championships. They finished the year with a Second Level Freestyle median score of 74.467%, which earned them First Place in the USDF All Breeds Awards (KWPN-NA). Dalwhinney is a 2008 mare out of Windsor CA.
UB40 sired three additional GAIG/USDF Regional Champions. Guinevere CPF, bred by Julie Lane and owned and ridden by Greta Vowell, won the Region 5 First Level Championship with a 71.324 %; Hana won the Region 2 First Level Adult Amateur Championship with owner/rider Laura Crowl. Hana was bred by Reese Koffler-Standfield; and Fleetwood ISF, the Region 6 Training Level Adult Amateur Champion with a 73.295% with owner/rider Ashley Preston. Fleetwood ISF was bred by Iron Spring Farm.
U Rock, a 2009 gelding out of Piedra by Tip Top, won the Third Level and Third Level Freestyle USDF All Breeds Awards (Swedish Warmblood Association of North America) with rider/owner Amanda Johnson. U Rock was bred by Carol Reid.
UB40 is also the sire of two approved stallions, El Capone and Apache, a CDI-winning Grand Prix horse.
