Fairfield, CT (October 18, 2013) The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) will have a significant presence at Equine Affaire, November 7-10, at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA. For parents and college-bound students looking for information on programs and equestrian teams, IHSA will again host a booth (#821) in the Better Living Center (BLC), with a new banner and digital photo presentations.
On Friday, November 8, in the Youth Pavilion, Mount Holyoke College three-time IHSA Collegiate Cup National Champion Team coach, IHSA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient (1998) and MHC Athletics Hall of Fame 1985-86 equestrian team coach, C.J. Law will be a featured guest speaker, talking about College Riding, with a focus on how to incorporate riding and showing into a positive and rewarding college experience. IHSA promotes competition for riders of all skill levels, who compete individually and as teams at regional and national levels, based on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level.
