The month of March 2011 has started big time for American Dressage, with The International Horse Sport Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI, followed in Florida the second week with The World Dressage Masters, and on the west coast in California the Dressage Affaire CDI in Del Mar, an Olympic qualifier for Para Dressage. DressageDaily is on the scene, and starting off the Derby is the 11th Annual “Inspection Reception” a fundraiser for Equestrian Aid, Thursday, March 3, at the Horse Park at Equestrian Estates in Loxahatchee, Florida. But that is just the start of a full week of events, vendors, awards, and special presentations at the Horse Park which has a whole new look of an international venue.

A full schedule of classes will be featured in four arenas including an open show along with the CDI division, with a special appearance by Steffen Peters and Ravel. The DressageDaily Derby Leadline class has been moved from Sunday to Saturday at the lunch break, so for all aspiring future dressage stars, be sure to get a helmet, some britches and a pony and join us. Freestyles will be held on Sunday along with several special awards and ceremonies. Range Rover Palm Beach and Bob Cat will be on the show grounds as added sponsors. The IHS Palm Beach Derby will also be featuring a saddle giveaway by Schleese. This is the second show of the season for gaining valued points for the 2011 Blue Hors Cup. The Worth Avenue of Dressage Vendors are already moving in and setting up for the four day event. Sho Clothes will be offering another Pikeur Giveaway, and will be introducing a fabulous high end collection of Italian Riding wear by Alessandro Albanese. Back on Track continues their sponsorship and support with lots of great product for award winners.

There will be several special awards presented including the Judy Guden Memorial Trophy, The Carol Lavell Gifted Award, and the Betsey Berrey Memorial Award sponsored by the Berrey family and Chris Hickey. Ashley Holzer will be retiring her Gold Medal Pan American Games Champion Impresario. The popular DressageDaily Derby Leadline class on Sunday will precede an afternoon of High Performance Freestyles.

And then there are the parties:
