Make major improvements with your riding for less than the price of most weekend clinics! Recommended by Olympians, National Champions and Adult Amateurs. Biomechanically sound advice, approved by equestrians that are Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Veterinarians.

On December 1, the second session of "A Good Seat Moves" an online 5-week training course begins - sign up on or before November 18 for $199 early bird pricing. Act soon, the last session was sold out!

What makes this course so special? This harmonious hybrid of the famous work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais combined with Dave's expert classical dressage and biomechanics background will elevate every level of rider's balance, body awareness, symmetry, suppleness, possible pain relief and mental awareness of movement.

"The Feldenkrais Method® is a powerful and revolutionary approach to improving your life that uses gentle, mindful movement to bring new awareness and possibility into every aspect of your life. Developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais Method has helped millions of people worldwide," stated the Feldenkrais guild website.

This exclusive online course is led by German certified Trainer-A, Dave Thind, who has developed this easily accessible, home study, online training to help riders improve their seat, feel and overall communication with their horses. Dave has been teaching clinics in his method, the "Dave Thind Method (DTM)," across the United States, Canada, and many European countries for over 15 years.  But now, from the comfort of home, participants can easily learn. Rather than a standard way of teaching, students practice isolated movements and body awareness exercises tailored to the dressage rider to hone their skills.

"Feldenkrais said, 'To make the impossible possible, the possible easy, the easy beautiful' and this is what we aim to achieve for our participants," explained coach Dave Thind at his farm in Walpole, MA.

For this specific course,  Dave will tackle the topic of perfecting the sitting trot with "A Good Seat Moves" where participants are taught unique seat and core exercises and are introduced to Moshe Feldenkrais' world-renowned work in movement re-education and neuroscience. However, students should expect to notice improvement in their overall riding, daily posture and comfort levels.

“I wanted my first  DTM course to address the sitting trot because following and influencing the trot in a supple, aesthetically pleasing way with correct biomechanics is a skill that riders of all levels can improve upon,” commented Dave.

Four-time dressage Olympian, Cindy Ishoy, is excited about this new online course stating, "This method makes total sense. It is based on a solid foundation of German classical riding and uses innovative ideas from the field of neuromuscular programming. This is what makes Dave's work so great."

According to Dave, this method has achieved results from beginner to advanced riders alike as he uses this method daily at his dressage facility, Aspire Farm. He explains that once the rider is able to mentally and physically reprogram, they realize a newfound feeling and begin to move more harmoniously with their horses.  The change happens on a subconscious level and the rider doesn't need to think about what they have learned or to try hard.  He equates it to pressing the reset button thereby giving riders access to a new realm of possibilities.

“Because of improved body awareness and fluidity in movement patterns, body signals (aids) will become clearer yet more invisible. Riders will improve their feeling and sense of timing. Horses appreciate this!” continued Dave.

This course is a culmination of a lifetime of education spurred not only by Dave's passion for dressage but also a severe injury in 2001 rendering him unable to ride. Instead of giving up hope, Dave used his recovery time to learn how the horse and human bodies most efficiently move apart and in unison specifically how each develop fluid movement patterns. Dave not only returned to competitive riding but also obtained, with distinction, the title of Trainer-A, F.N. an FEI Level III Trainer while competing and living in Germany.

More about Feldenkrais:
"The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education uses gentle movement and directed attention to help people learn new and more effective ways of living the life they want. You can increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover your innate capacity for graceful, efficient movement. Since how you move, is how you move through life, these improvements will often enhance your thinking, emotional regulation, and problem solving capabilities.

The Feldenkrais Method is based on principles of physics, biomechanics, and an empirical understanding of learning and human development. Moshe Feldenkrais said, “We move according to our perceived self-image.” By expanding your perception and increasing awareness, you will become more aware of your habits and tensions and develop new ways of moving. By increasing sensitivity, the Feldenkrais Method assists you to live your life more fully, efficiently, and comfortably," explained the guild's information site.
