The heat wave peaked July 25, as Dr. Ludwig Christmann of the Hanoverian Verband traveled to the rolling hills of Hilton Farm in Somerset, VA, along with George Walker of Blythwood, SC, and Vern Batchelder of Williston, FL.
This was the first inspection held at Hilton Farm, since the passing of long time breeder and owner Mr. Otto Rudolf Fuchs.
All held up well as a group of passionate breeders with quality mares and foals in a well supported event of sponsors and spectators enjoyed the ambiance of the day.
Hilton Farm's own Donna Darius (Don Darius - Liberty Gold) was presented in the Mare Performance Test by Sarah Doyle and became a Premium Mare Candidate.

Fox Lair Sport Horses had a winning show at Hilton Farm.
Four Hanoverian mares were presented for inspection with the high scoring mare honors being presented to Valerie Fox's Balouette du Rouet (Balou du Rouet - Rio Grande).
Twelve foals were presented to the judges represented by the stallions Ampere, Antibes, Chicardo, Contratto, Don Principe, Furst Impression, Lagoheider, Negro, Qredit Hilltop, Wild Dance, and Viva Voltaire.

Three foals stood out for the judges, and those were Rebecca Arnold's filly by Furst Impression and out of the Davignport daughter Dabria, Valerie Fox's jumper-bred colt by stallion Viva Voltaire and out of the high scoring Hanoverian Mare Balouette du Rouet, and Linda Sommer's dressage-bred Ampere colt out of the Quaterback daughter Quiabella.
