Hampton Classic Horse Show Begins Sunday, August 23

The 40th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show begins Sunday August 23 and runs through Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

FEATURES:
The highlight of the Classic's The Atlantic Opening Day is the $50,000 iHeartMedia Hunter Derby, presented by Ghurka at 12:00 pm, following the opening ceremonies, which takes place at noon in the Classic's famed Grand Prix Field.

The adorable leadline classes, judged by Olympic gold medalist Joe Fargis, feature riders as young as 2 years old. Leadline classes begin at 9:00 am. In addition are the traditional Local Hunter Divisions open to horses that make their home on Long Island.

Kids are not left out of the Opening Day fun with many activities taking place in the Kids Tent! Cookie decorating with Citarella is a tasty treat! There are also live animals including llamas, alpaca, sheep, goats and Pansy & Pigity pigs from Long Island Livestock Co. There are also horse crafts and activities with Church Street School for Music & Art and Nature Nick's Animal Show has two different show times during the day.
