Guenter Seidel and UII won another blue ribbon in the FEI Intermediarie-1 CDI Division in the second phase of the qualifying class. They earned their win with a score of 71.373%. Seidel was happy this his score considering he has a couple mistakes in the test. “Overall it was a decent test,” stated Seidel of the 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Dick and Jane Brown. “There were a couple mirror mistakes in the test, like the two tempi’s, and in some of the halts UII didn’t stand still.” However, Seidel was pleased with UII and commented on his future. “I hope to show him in the Grand Prix by this fall.”

Finishing second in the Intermediaire-1 was Jenny Baldwin and Fabrioso from Boulder, CO. Baldwin and Fabrioso, a 9-year-old Hannoverian gelding by Federweisser out of Fabriana is owned by Virginia Carr, received a score of 67.842%. Close behind Baldwin was Shannon Peters riding the 9-year-old gelding, Flor De Selva with a score of 67.737%. Peters commented about the test saying, “It was very good test. We just had a mistake in the last diagonal of changes.” However, Peters was happy with the show as it was Flor De Selva’s first CDI.
