Fundraising Effort to Save the Kentucky Three Day Event Reaches Half Their Goal in 24 Hours

Over 50% has been raised in less than 24 hours in a  fundraising effort to raise the $750,000 needed for Equestrian Events Inc to hold the Kentucky Three-Day Event 5* in April. Equestrian Events Inc. is a spectator driven nonprofit. They put aside income each year to cover issues during the next year. In 2020 those reserves were used because of Covid. If all current ticket holders ask for refunds their rainy day fund is gone.

Due to the new strain of Covid, progress in working with the USEF and the State of Kentucky to allow spectators is in a holding pattern, and EEI is out of time. While they are planning on moving forward with the event that weekend, to hold the 5* without spectators, is not in the best interest the EEI.

Without the commitment to allow the spectators, EEI simply could not go forward, but the support to help make this happen in spite of not being able to (at this time) allow spectators has been overwhelming.
