Boulder, CO - Accuhorsemat, the equine acupressure blanket that is taking North America by storm, is spending the summer sponsoring horse show series at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida and the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado. Accuhorsemat was developed in Sweden as a response to the needs of performance horses that experienced challenges with stiffness and recovery after showing or training. Acuswede, the North American distributer of Accuhorsemat, is excited to now be bringing the healing benefits of acupressure to competitive equestrians in North America, as well.

Accuhorsemat is a non-invasive acupressure horse blanket designed to promote healthy circulation and recovery through increased blood flow, toxin release, and muscle relaxation. Based on ancient acupressure practices, the Accuhorsemat stimulates acupressure points across the body of the horse to release tension in connective tissue, allowing for more mobility and relieving pain associated with the tightness. After just 15 minutes of use, there is a significant increase in blood flow, taking more oxygen to the horse’s muscles and promoting healing and recovery. The Accuhorsemat is often used before riding to calm an anxious horse, and to help a horse to loosen up and move more freely. It can also be applied after exercise to relax a horse by soothing muscles and promoting endorphin release.

Accuhorsemat began the summer by sponsoring the $10,000 Accuhorsemat Welcome Stake during the Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Spring Series, a hunter/jumper show series held at the world-renowned Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, Florida. Accuhorsemat also continues to sponsor the Adult Amateur Jumper Division of the ESP Summer Series, which runs from the first week of June through the first week of September.

While continuing to support hunters and jumpers in Florida, Accuhorsemat is also supporting the three-day eventing community at the Colorado Horse Park (CHP) in Parker, Colorado. The Colorado Horse Park’s well-established summer show series draws riders from the central and western United States. The horse park is comprised of 11 arenas and 300 permanent stalls for hunter, jumper, dressage, and eventing disciplines. Earlier in the summer, Accuhorsemat sponsored the Open Novice Division of the FEI CCI ** /FEI CCI* presented by Adequan® – FEI CIC** and Horse Trials at the Colorado Horse Park. Accuhorsemat will again sponsor a division of the Colorado Horse Trials on August 12-14, which will be the next eventing competition at the facility.

“Accuhorsemat is enjoying being involved in the eventing series at our own Colorado Horse Park”, said Colleen Elliott, the co-founder of Acuswede, which is based in nearby Boulder, Colorado. “We know the Accuhorsemat will make a huge difference in how horses get ready to compete and recover after strenuous competition, like that experienced in eventing."

Accuhorsemat representatives can also be found this summer at the Summer in the Rockies hunter/jumper show series and the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJRYC), both held at the Colorado Horse Park. Representatives will also be available to give demonstrations of how the Accuhorsemat works at The Event at Rebecca Farm on July 21-24 in Kalispell, Montana.
