The First Horses Arrive in Es Fangar, Training Begins for Competition in The CDI4* Balearan Tour

Mallorca - Everything is ready is Es Fangar for the CDI4*Balearan Tour to begin. Over 20 horse trucks coming from Barcelona and Valencia have arrived yesterday, and all the horses are placidly resting in their boxes. Today all the horses passed the vet-check without any problem. The vet-check was supervised by the veterinaries Diego Usón and Giulia Martone and the president of the jury, Juan Carlos Campos. 

The competition that will take place in Mallorca this weekend will have over 130 participants, among them many international riders of fifteen different countries.

Denmark will be represented by one of their most important riders, Princess Nathalie Zu Sayn – Wittgenstein winner of a bronze team medal in the Beijing Olympic Games and member of the Danish team in European and World Championships; in Es Fangar she will be competing FABIENNE (Blue Hors Future Cup x Racine).

Coming from the other side of the world the Japanese rider Akane Kuroki with DON LUKA a horse that lived in Menorca when he was owned by Andreu Busutil, one of the few Spanish riders that have passed to a final in a Junior European Championship.

The Polish rider Dominika Krasko Bialek will be competing OTELLO (Alfaro X Ornela). The CDI4* Es Fangar will be her first international show of this season, also from Poland we will have Michal Rapcewicz who has the honour of being the first Polish rider to compete in an Olympic Games, he will be competing ECSTASY (Celt x Europa).

From Sweden is arriving Emilie Nyreröd with MIATA (Lancado x Graziell) and from Great Britain Anna Louise Ross with DIE CALLAS (DE NIRO x CELESTE)The Ukrainian rider Inna Logutenkova trained by Sjef Jansen whom the Spanish Public had the opportunity to see in the Barcelona Dressage Tour, will be riding FLERARO (Flemmingh x  La Rozanta) in the Big Tour and HETMAN SAHAYDACHNIY (Calato x  Kastanie II)who is here making his international debut, in the Medium Tour.

Russia is represented by two riders, one of them a good friend of Spain where she spends part of the year, its Irina Zakhrabekova trained by José Antonio García Mena will ride SANDROS WELT (Sandro Hit x Waloo) in the Small Tour; the other Russian representative is Marina Gendeleva with LIBERTY (Libertino x Fatme).

From Germany Isabelle Steidle who has just come from winning the Gran Prix in the CDI3* Villach, Treffen with the same horse she will be competing is Es Fangar LONG DRINK 2 (Langenhagen x Maiblume I).

Janneke van Riet is riding for the Netherlands with ZIROCCO (San Remo x Olivia King) we saw the both in the two CDIs of the Barcelona Spring Tour and also Joyce Lenaerts with BEUKENVALLEIS UBIQUE (WELT HIT II x LIQUEUR) in the Big Tour and has also brought two horse for the Small Tour  SHOW BOY (Show Star x Donna Girl) and AUTHENTIC (Fürst Heinrich x Solinde).

From Brazil a rider that has been selected as part of the Brazilian Team in the next Panamerican Games,  João Victor Marcari Oliva with his Pure Bred Lusitano SIGNO DOS PINHAIS (Zique x Laranja) .

The Canadian rider Karen Pavicic will ride DON DAIKIRI (Don Cardinale x Neastate III). They are having a very active 2015 season has they have been in all the CDI’s in Wellington as well as in Wiesbaden the past month of May.

Marc Boblet who represented France in the Olympic Games in Beijing 2012 and in the Normandy Equestrian Games, arrives in Es Fangar after having won the Grand Prix and Grad Prix Special in the CDI4* Compiegne that took place last weekend. In Mallorca his partner will be WHITNI STAR (Pik Solo x OSIRI STAR).

From Portugal we have three riders that are already short listed for the European Championhips that will take place in Aachen this summer: Maria Caetano with her Pure Bred Lusitanos XIRIPITI (Qualificado x Reboleira) and VENDAVAL (Navalheiro x Murta) in the Big Tour, Daniel Pinto with his young and promising SANTURION DE MASSA  (Munchhausen x  Viena) and finally Manuel Veiga with his homebred Pure Bred Lusitano BEN HUR DA BROA (Quinteiro da Broa x Embaixatriz) with whom last May in Madrid passed the 70% border.

We find in Es Fangar some of the best Spanish riders. Beatriz Ferrer-Salat with seven medals in her curriculum among which is a bronze individual and team silver in Athens Olympic Games, she is riding SIR RADJA (Sir Donnerhall x Romina). José Antonio Jiménez Cobo, who has also an impressive sports record the most important result being a team silver in the Athens Olympic Games he is competing with SONNY BOY (Stedinger x Carona). Jordi Domingo Coll, memeber of the Spanish Dressage Team in the Beijing Olympic Games, and European Championships of La Mandria, Windsor and Rotterdam he will be riding in the Big Tour a KWPN mare WONDER (Waterford x Rose).

Ignacio Lopez Porras who was team bronze medal in the European Championship in Hagen brings two Pure Bred Spanish horses: JIMENO IA (AMOROSO XXII x JARA CXIII) and FARAON LXXXVII (Nevado Santa Clara x Autentica). Claudio Castilla Ruiz member of the spanish team in the European Championships of Windsor and Rotterdam as well as in the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky (USA) has brought two Pure Bred Lusitanos ULISSES (Quixote x Palanca) and UNICORNIO DO RETIRO (Othelo x Orla). Antonio José Díaz Porras at the moment Argentina’s national trainier, is in Es Fangar with another Pure Bred Lusitano XENOFONTE (Nonio x Maga).

Tomorrow the competition program begins with special tests for Young Horses, then Medium Tour followed in the afternoon by the Grand Prix. On Saturday we are having the Grand Prix Special and on Sunday the Grand Prix Freestyle.
