Halifax, MA - The Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility has selected two of show jumping's premier officials for this year's Fieldstone Summer Showcase. Fieldstone is proud to welcome USET veteran Eric Hasbrouck as Course Designer and Michael J. Morrissey of Stadium Jumping, Inc. as Competition Manager.
The Fieldstone Summer Showcase returns bigger and better than ever, August 24-29. Providing spectators and exhibitors with thrilling events in and out of the show ring, the Summer Showcase features the $35,000 Fieldstone Grand Prix and the $10,000 C.W.D. Open Hunter Derby. The Massachusetts Hunter-Jumper Finals take place Sunday, August 29.
"We are proud to have two of the nation's leading show jumping officials on board this year," said Fieldstone President Scott Clawson.
Hasbrouck has competed successfully on the nation's big-league show jumping circuit for nearly three decades. He has won many major Grand Prix events in the United States and has represented the U.S. internationally including riding for the U.S. in the Show Jumping World Championships at the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome.
Additionally, Hasbrouck has served on the Selection Committee for the U. S. Olympic Show Jumping Team. In 2008 he served as Chef d'Equipe for the Super League Team in Dublin, Ireland and Lumen, Belgium. He is also a member of the Organizing Committee for the Syracuse International Sport Horse Tournament.
Working with Hasbrouck as course designers will be Nathan Panetta and Tom Hern. Panetta designed the hunter derby courses for the Fieldstone Spring Showcase, and Hern, a USEF "R" licensed course designer, has designed courses for the Massachusetts Hunter Jumper (MHJ) Equitation and Hunter-Jumper Finals.
One of the nation's most respected horse show managers, Morrissey has managed some of the nation's biggest hunter-jumper horse shows such as the Winter Equestrian Festival, Lake Placid Horse Shows and Traders Point Charity Horse Show. He will work closely with Scott Clawson and Shawn Clawson, President and Vice President of Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility, respectively.
The Fieldston Summer Showcase also welcomes judges Karin Immerman of Southampton, NY; Mike Rosser of Southern Pines, NC; Patty Downing of Thonotosassa, FL and Ann Jamieson of Kent, CT.
Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility is one of New England's premier equestrian event venues. Its 100-acre show grounds are located just 28 miles south of Boston, MA. The recently renovated facility offers nine all-weather hybrid sand/felt/fiber show rings, permanent and temporary stabling, ample parking, and a state-of-the-art all-grass Grand Prix field.
