After a very successful 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ USA Para-Dressage is excited to head to Wellington, Florida, for the kick-off of the 2019 calendar year. The season begins with a Coach & Athlete Development Seminar January 13-14, 2019, at Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center in Loxahatchee, Florida. The seminar is a two-day USEF sanctioned event designed for athlete and coach development in para-equestrian dressage. Following the seminar para-equestrians will compete at the $10,000 Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) Week 2 CPEDI3* January 17-20, 2019. Riders may stay through the winter season or return for the second CPEDI3* during AGDF Week 9 CPEDI3* running March 7-10. Scheduled June 13-16, athletes will head out West to the Golden State Dressage Classic in Rancho Murieta, Calif. The calendar year will finish in the fall at the 2019 US Equestrian Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championships taking place at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Tryon, NC, September 12-15. With four international competitions in the United States and further education at the national level the 2019 year will be an exciting building year for the United States. With a little over a year left U.S. athletes have their sights on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games where Paralympic Dressage will occur August 27-29, and 31.

The first 2019 international para-equestrian dressage show in the United States begins at the $10,000 Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) Week 2 CPEDI3* with the Horse inspection on Thursday, January 17, at 3 PM. Each horse and rider combination from multiple countries will enter down centerline in the Team Test on Friday, January 18, the Individual Test on Saturday, and the Freestyle Test on Sunday, January 19. The ground jury includes Carlos Lopes (POR), Monique Peutz-Vegter (NED), Adrienne Pot (USA), and Elke Ebert (GER). Para-Dressage riders in Grade I, II, III, IV, and V, will compete for the $10,000 in prize money.

The winter equestrian season in Wellington, Florida, is an exciting opportunity for riders and horses to compete at world-class facilities in front of international judges against the best athletes in their sport. USA Para-Dressage is looking forward to solidifying horse and rider duos over the 2019 year.
