Dressage4Kids and the Emerging Dressage Athlete Program - News and Important Dates to Remember!

 

The 15th Youth Dressage Festival is approaching fast! This year it will be on July 12-14 at HITS in Saugerties, NY. We have an exciting group of judges and look forward to seeing all our old friends and making new ones. 2013 Emerging Athlete Students
Emerging Dressage Athlete Program Clinics are being scheduled all over the USA! These clinics not only provide lessons with a top instructor, but also additional education opportunities throughout the day! There will be an EDAP clinic in June in Michigan, with others being scheduled soon. Dressage4Kids is also looking for people and farms willing to host these clinics! Contact Lendon if you would like to host a clinic!

Pony Clinics
Pony Clinics are now being organized for riders of all ages! Interested in participating? Know of any pony riders hoping to compete FEI Ponies in the near future? Well this is for you! Contact Lendon at LendonGray@gmail.com to find out more. Preference is given to developing FEI Pony Riders.

Oct 20 -  Youth Dressage Festival Atlanta

On July 31-Aug 4 10 lucky riders and 10 auditors will have a chance to participate in first Courtney King Dye Horsemastership Clinic at Riveredge Farm, home of Scott Hassler Dressage. Debbie McDonald will be teaching along with Courtney King Dye and other lecturers.

New Partners and Commitee Members
Dressage4Kids would like to welcome Shazam and Display to the equine family!! These two FEI mounts were recently donated to Dressage4Kids to allow other young riders to learn and ride on talented horses! Shazam, donated by Asia Ondaatje Rupert, is a 13 year old Welsh/Arab that successfully did FEI Ponies and competed in the National Pony Championships! He is now with Maddy McLean at Alice Peterson and Marie Banks's Blue Ribbon Farm.

Display,donated by Rosalind Kinstler, is now with Allyssia Bryant who participated in WIT this winter. Allyssia is a working student for Jamie Nunn. So, Look out for these two new Dressage4Kids combinations! We are very grateful to have them.

We would also like to welcome the new committee members Bonnie Stetson, Mary Herbst amd Pat Hommel. We are very excited to have you on board and look forward to your future with Dressage4Kids!

Thank You, to Mary Herbst and Susan Sieber for organizing a wonderful Weekend Educational Program this year, twice!! WEP was originally postponed due to a bad snowstorm, but was later rescheduled and went off without a hitch! Also a huge Thank You to Bonnie Stetson for organizing: A Day in the City!
