Dressage At Devon's 2002 Grand Champion Offered For Sale M.Ecloir In Foal to Dreamstreet Stallion's Starlight

 

Livingston Dressage is pleased to offer a spectacular new addition to its sales lineup - M. Ecloir,(by Amethist out of J'Eclair by Boreas), imported for Foal’s Paradise Farm in 1997, comes from an extensive background of successful showing.

At Dressage at Devon 2002 coming straight out of the broodmare field with baby Vivaci by her side, she stunned both her owners and the crowd by claiming the ultimate prize for the breed show: Grand Champion at Devon. This wasn’t the first time that she claimed a title at Devon, and neither the first time she claimed Grand Champion. Indeed, M. Ecloir’s resume lists many impressive accomplishments, including the victory of her son, Vivaci, who claimed 1st place at Devon for the colts of 2002.

It is with much reluctance that Richard Caplan and Mary Huwaldt of Foal’s Paradise Farm now offer M. Ecloir, as well as Vivaci for sale.

“My wife and I are reluctantly selling our prize Dutch horses because our 4 year old daughter's congenital health problems required us a year ago to move from Foal's Paradise Farm to the city. Although the move has had a profoundly positive effect on our daughter's condition, it has left us with little time to tend our animals, many of whom we personally brought into the world as foals. We are particularly pained to offer our best mare, "Claire", for sale because she is one of the first three horses that we imported from Holland more than ten years ago. Claire has that special something that distinguishes her from all the rest and has only produced first premium offspring. We will miss her regal bearing and winning ways.”

 

M. Ecloir is just 13 this year and holds the potential for many wonderful opportunities to the right individual or breeding program. “We are truly honored to be represting this special mare,” replies Kristi Livingston. Livingston also makes this comment on M. Ecloir’s behalf, “This mare carries an intelligent, kind demeanor, is naturally gifted, and a pleasure to work with.”

In addition to M. Ecloir’s resume, she has been trained and shown successfully to the 4th level in between breeding. Under saddle she is naturally correct through her confirmation and carries an active hind leg paired with an elegant front leg.

Currently, M. Ecloir is in foal to Dream Street Stallion’s Starlight (by Sandro Hit) for the 2008 season. Starlight is an exceptional stallion with sought after European bloodlines. In 2007 Starlight distinguished himself by earning multiple ‘Horse Of The Year’ titles as well as a perpetual trophy in the USDF ‘Hall Of Fame’ for the highest median score ever given (85%). “ I’m always very pleased when breeders offer an outstanding proven mare such as M.
