Dressage Affaire 2008 at the Del Mar Horsepark

Visit the website for some of the nation's best riders from the West Coast are scheduled to compete in the annual Dressage Affaire 2008 at the Del Mar Horsepark March 13-16, 2008. The three-day event is open to the public and is a prelude to the summer Olympics in Beijing from Aug. 8 to 24. Managed by Keenan and Pecorelli Events, After this weekend, qualifying riders will advance to a competition the Festival of the Horse, in Los Angeles in two weeks followed by another competition at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in early May. Cornerstone Events Mid Winter Dressage Fair CDI-W/Y 2008

Burbank, California – Steffen Peters couldn’t have asked for a better weekend at the Cornerstone Events Mid Winter Dressage Fair CDI-W/Y. With his Olympic hopeful Ravel, he won both the CDI Grand Prix and the CDI Grand Prix Special. “It was a good weekend,” Peters said. He also took second in the CDI Grand Prix Freestyle with Lombardi 11 on a score of 70.45 percent. First in the Freestyle went to Leslie Morse and her Dutch Warmblood stallion Kingston with their score of 71.45. Taking third was Kristina Harrison and Rociero XV with a score of 69.75 percent.
Dressage Getaway at Indio II Heats Up Competiton as Sue Blinks Dominates in the Open Grand Prix

Indio, California -- Dressage Getaway at Indio II held February 15-17, 2008 drew a healthy crowd of talented international-level competitors despite unseasonably cold weather. A cold, northern storm had sprinkled the mountains surrounding the desert region with snow.
The cold weather, however, didn’t deter competitors from gathering from gathering at the HITS show grounds February 15-17 to school and compete at the first High Performance and Young Rider qualifier of the Dressage Getaway series.
West Coast Riders Unveil Olympic Hopefuls at Cornerstone Events L.A. Winter Dressage 2008

Burbank, California – Several of the West Coast’s top dressage riders tested out new mounts at Cornerstone Events’ L.A. Winter Dressage, held Feb. 2-3 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Leading the way Saturday in Grand Prix competition was Debbie Mc Donald and the 11-year-old Hanoverian Felix. Steffen Peters with one of his new Grand Prix partners, the 10-year-old Prince earned a score of 67.292 percent. Leslie Morse on Tip Top topped Sunday's GP with a 70 percent.
