For the first time, Dressage at Devon offered the FEI Short Grand Prix to competitors for the Grand Prix Freestyle that will be held on Saturday night. (Michael Bragdell on Qredit pictured above) Although the test is not as long as the FEI Grand Prix test, the FEI Dressage Technical Committee claims it is as difficult. Many riders and judges agree with this assessment. Some think that because the movements are packed into a shorter timeframe, the test may be more challenging for those who are less experienced. The FEI, however, believes the shorter version makes dressage more entertaining and has the potential to achieve more television coverage.

And the winners are:

The 502 FEI CDI3* Grand Prix (Qualifier for the Grand Prix Special was won by Diane Creech, on Chrevis Christo 562 (Chrevi’s la VI/ Chrevi’s Cavallo, by Matador). with a score of 68.761. Chrevis Christo 562 is a DWB owned by Diane Creech and Louise Leatherdale, and bred by Vivian & Chresten Kristensen from Gedsted, Denmark.

The FEI Short Grand Prix* (CDIW) Qualifier for the Grand Prix Freestyle was won by Qredit Hilltop (pictured above) (Quarterback/Dream Ruvina by Dream of Glory) with a score of 67.132. Qredit was ridden by Michael Bragdell, bred by Judy Yancey, and is owned by Hilltop Farm.
