Did You Know You Could be Liable For Your Horse's Actions?
Monday, July 24, 2017
Did you know…..if you own a horse, whether it is a pleasure horse that grazes in your pasture or a horse that you have boarded at a facility, you as a horse owner could be named liable if your horse causes bodily injury or property damage to someone on or off your premises? For a reasonable cost ranging from $230 to $295, our Private Horse Owner Liability policy will provide you legal defense should you be named in a lawsuit. You are covered for up to 4 horses and we provide liability limits of: $300,000, $500,000 and $1 million dollars. Should you have more than four horses, we can add up to ten horses for an additional charge per horse.
If you have more than 10 horses or you are actively involved in the breeding, training of horses, riding instruction, leasing of horses to others and any other activity that receives money or other compensation, a Commercial Equine Liability policy is needed.
